My First Board

Well i had to start somewhere, so i choose the deep end and decided to try and copy as best i could Mel Bose’s ( The Terrain Tutor) D- Day esk board that he showed through half a dozen or so Youtube videos.

Materials were purchased hastily as the first COVID lock down was starting to kicking and then off to play in my garage.

I so wish now that i took more notes and photos of the build stages for reference but you live and learn.

Anyway the board is designed as a modular system where all 4 boards each 2″ x 4″ can be laid out in any configuration so you get multiple playing surfaces from a 4″ x 4″ Commando Cove skirmish to a large 4″ x 8″ beach assault. I never have got round to finishing the sea the intention is to add resin and texture for the waves but like so many things in this hobby I’ve been drawn into the next project.
